The Admission Process

It is the policy of Greenhill School to administer its educational programs, including admission and financial aid, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, or disability.

The admission process begins early in the fall and applications are accepted one year prior to the year of expected entrance.  Greenhill School's admission process and applicant criteria vary according to the ages of the students and the divisions to which they are applying.  Throughout the admission season we collect and evaluate current and historical information from a wide range of sources.  We meet with parents, interview applicants, evaluate past and current academic, extra-curricular and athletic achievements, as well as citizenship and service to the applicant’s current school and community.

Admission Process by Grades:

Pre-k, Kindergarten

Primer, Grade 1

Grades 2-4

Grades 5-12

Academic standards are important; we consider standardized test results in context with an applicant's other talents and achievements.  Therefore, we use these tests along with direct observations, teacher evaluations, parent statements and applicant interviews to asses an applicant’s compatibility with our school.  We are looking for applicants with a wide range of interests and a desire to explore the rigorous academic, athletic, and artistic opportunities Greenhill School has to offer.
