ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
It is our responsibility to know where all the Extended Day children are after school. If a child does not check into Extended Day after school, the director immediately checks the school office, special activity forms, and then calls the parents. If your child is scheduled to attend Extended Day and will not be there for any reason, please call the Extended Day office and leave a message before 2:00 p.m.
When a child is picked up from the Extended Day Program, the parent or other authorized person signs the child out by writing in the time and signing the sign-out sheet. Persons other than parents who are authorized to pick up the child are listed on the child's registration form. Your child will not be released if someone other than the authorized person comes to pick up the child unless we have received a call or note from home.
Children who have signed in, but not signed out will be charged for the full day until 6:00 p.m., regardless of the program in which they are enrolled. If a parent picks up a ½ day child after 4:45 p.m., they will be charged an additional $10.00 for the specific date, and be billed at the end of the month.

LATE PICK-UP FEE
Please remember that the deadline for pick up is 6:00 p.m. Abuse of this policy is taken very seriously. If you are late for this deadline, you will be charged a $1.00 per minute per child for each minute after 6:00 p.m. This charge must be paid at the time the child is picked up. Failure by a parent or authorized person to pick up the child by 6:00 p.m. deadline more than THREE TIMES in one school year will result in the removal of the student from the Extended Day Program. A call from the parent letting us know they will be late will help ease any anxieties your child and the teacher on duty may have, but does not excuse the late fee charge .

SCHEDULE CHANGES
Changes in your child's schedule will be accepted between the 1st and 10th of each month. You will be allowed to change a student's schedule TWO TIMES in a school year without a penalty being assessed a charge. After the second change, Extended Day will charge you the higher of the three schedule changes. You may make schedule changes by coming into the Extended Day office and completing a “Change of Schedule” form. We will not be able to accept changes by phone or e-mail.

DROP POLICY
If a parent wishes to drop a student from the program for any reason, a "Drop Policy" form must be filled out and submitted to the Extended Day office no later than the 10th of the month prior to dropping. Any drops received after the 10th will result in the next month’s fee being assessed. Re-enrollment will depend on availability. A new application fee of $80 will need to accompany the form for re-enrollment.

HAVE A FRIEND OVER
Children enrolled in Primer through 8th Grade Extended Day may invite a Greenhill friend to stay with them at Extended Day on occasion. It is the responsibility of the child's parent enrolled in Extended Day to call the office at least 24 hours in advance to check on availability and give emergency information about the friend. It is also the responsibility of the Extended Day parent to make arrangements for the $20 per child/per day visitors fee.

EXTRACURRICULAR
ACTIVITIES
Children must be signed out of Extended Day by the instructor for any extracurricular activities such as music lessons, scouts, and/or team sports. A “Special Activities” form should be filled out if a child will be attending any extra-curricular activity during their Extended Day time with us.
top
ILLNESSES
If your child becomes sick at Extended Day, an Extended Day teacher will call the parents and request that your child be picked up immediately. Children must be free of fever for 24 hours before returning to the Extended Day Program. It is expected that children who are well enough to attend school are well enough to go outside at Extended Day.

MEDICATIONS
All medications must go through the school nurse. Only during Holiday Care days will an Extended Day staff member give medication. All medications must be registered in the Extended Day medication log each Holiday Care day with specific instructions. Also, medication must be in its original bottle.

FOOD
