Down 5-1 in the bottom of the
fifth, Greenhill rallied off a Kevin
Kirksey two-run homer to take the lead for a 6-5
victory against Cistercian on Monday.
With the bases loaded,
sophomore Alan Norris hit a
single to drive in two runs. Then with two outs, Kersey hit the
two-run homer. Kevin Kirksey,
pitched the first five innings, before Alex
Chalfant, who also scored two runs, came in as the
closer.
"This is the kind of
offensive explosion we need," coach Mark
Parachini said. "This is what we have been
missing."
Third baseman Brian
Dorber made a key double play and four other ground
plays for a strong defensive performance.
