Greenhill
returns five seniors
(11/14/01)
Five
seniors will be returning to the court this season for the
Greenhill varsity boys basketball team. William
Mitchell, David Knowles
and Colin Rogers will join
senior captains David Carter
and Jonathan Brajtbord, as
the squad competes for the SPC title. Knowles earned All-SPC
honors last season as a guard, while Carter brings the team a
strong presence in the paint at 6’-7”. Juniors T.J.
Jones, Travis Blakeley
and Lee Szor will offer the
team improved ball control at the guard position.
The Hornets
will face tough conference competition during the season against
St. Mark’s, Oklahoma City Casady, Tulsa Holland Hall and
defending SPC Champion Fort Worth Country Day. The team plans to
travel to Baltimore, Tulsa and Houston for tournaments during
the regular season.
Head
Coach Herman Card will line his team up against Dallas Christian
on Fri., Nov. 16, 2001 in the first round of the Greenhill School
Tip-Off Classic. Conference opponent St. Mark’s
will compete in the tournament, along with Fort Worth Christian,
Bishop Lynch, Trinity Christian Cedar Hill, Molina, and Trinity
Christian Academy.
