ESD slips past
Greenhill
(12/07/01) Starting
a squad of all seniors, the Greenhill varsity girls basketball
team played in a defensive battle against ESD on Friday evening.
With the help of underclassmen off the bench, the Hornets
carried a lead at halftime. Following a knee injury to senior
Carla Kinney, Lauren White hit two three-point shots late in the
fourth quarter but was unable to rally the team in the final
seconds of the contest. The Hornets fell to conference opponent
ESD 32-28. After what was undoubtedly the team’s best
performance of the season, Greenhill will travel to play
Hockaday on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.
