Youth offers
experience
(11/14/01)
The Greenhill varsity girls soccer team will again be
fielding a young squad for the 2001-2002 season. Although the
team may be young in age, Head Coach Paige Ashley said the team
won’t be inexperienced, as was the case last season.
Five freshmen and one sophomore will be joining the Hornets
on the field, bringing plenty of experience from club soccer.
Sophomore Lindsay Jaggers is
a welcomed addition to the roster, after injuring her ACL last
year.
Four seniors, including three-year all-conference selection
Hillary Prince, look to
guide the younger athletes to a Division I SPC Championship
berth. Sarah Ginsburg will
protect the goal for Greenhill, while Leslie
Hunt brings her club experience to the team for the
first time.
The
Hornets face tough SPC North Zone competition during the regular
season, with games against ESD, Hockaday and Tulsa Holland Hall.
The team will face TCA at home on Nov. 27 for the first game of
the season.
