Greenhill athletes
honored
by The Dallas Morning News;
Dorber named player of the year

Several
Greenhill athletes were named to
The Dallas Morning News’
Fall 2003 All-Area Teams, including senior
Brian Dorber, who was
named
boys volleyball player of the year.
Dorber set a school record
this past season with 963 assist, to help lead Greenhill to
its fifth-straight conference title. Senior
Marshall Sosland and junior
Jeff Klein were included
with Dorber in the
Morning News’
first team all-area boys volleyball team. Sosland
recorded 243 kills during the season, while Klein dominated
the middle with 347 kills and 148 blocks. Dorber, Klein and
Sosland were also named to the SPC all-conference team.
Sophomore
Lauren Gage was
Greenhill’s first selection to the
Morning News’
all-area field hockey team, and was also named to
the SPC all-conference
team. Gage helped the Hornets reach the division II
championship game this past season.
Seniors
Many Smith (S) and
Elizabeth Barnwell (MB)
were selected to the
SPC all-conference girls volleyball team,
while seniors Brandon Arrington,
Ben Brajtbord,
Brian McCarther and
Henry Stern were nominated
to play in the Texas private school all-star football game in
December and named to the
SPC all-conference football team.
