Greenhill returns home
to defeat St. Mark's

On September 17, the Greenhill boys varsity volleyball team
took pride in returning home to its home court to defeat
cross-town rival St. Mark’s (25-16, 25-23, 18-25, 25-18) in
front of an enthusiastic crowd.
All four games were marked by excellent defensive play on
both sides of the net. Brian
Dorber, Marshall Sosland, Chris Rogers, and Jared Scheib came
away with more than ten digs each. After losing game three,
the Hornets’ offense came alive in game four, with Marshall
Sosland and Jeff Klein killing several balls late in the game.
Game four ended on a high note, with Jeff Klein
pounding a one ball into the angle for the game point off a
Brian Dorber set. Dorber added 33 assists to his impressive
season numbers.
Defense continues to win games for the Hornets. The team
dug deep after losing game three, and kept its record perfect
at 19-0.
Other
notable numbers from the game: Clark Chaney (7 digs), Todd
Levin (5 digs, 2 kills), Michael Swartz (5 blocks).
