Greenhill hosts St. Mark's
for "Volleyball Day"

As the Greenhill sixth-grade
class celebrates “Volleyball Day” at school, the Greenhill
varsity boys volleyball team prepares to host St. Mark’s today
at 6 p.m.
The
Greenhill sixth grade participates in an integrated unit
called "Volleyball Day" each year in which all classes are
devoted to some aspect of the sport of volleyball. Teacher
present curriculum-related classes that introduces the
students to volleyball. Members of the girls and boys varsity
volleyball teams visit classes to help with the day, and put
on a volleyball exhibition in the gym. The festivities
conclude as all of the students are invited to attend boys
volleyball game against St. Mark's.
The Hornets
have a 3-1 record against the Lions this season. The two teams
will not meet again until the final match of the regular
season, which is a conference counter game. Greenhill has
defeated its past four opponents and looks to pick up another
home win tonight before hitting the road for the next two
weeks – including the annual trip to Canada.
The team
will return for its final regular season home match of the
season on Fri., Oct. 22 for a Homecoming match-up against
Trinity Valley. Greenhill will play three more road games
before entering the Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC) at
Greenhill on Nov. 4-5, 2004.
