Earl Dorber

Director of Athletics and Physical Education
 

Earl Dorber is the Director of Athletics and Physical Education at Greenhill School. Mr. Dorber came to Greenhill in 1997, after working for six years as the Director of Athletics and head baseball coach at the Newark Academy in Livingston, New Jersey.

He had previously taught and coached at the Delbarton School in Morristown, NJ. and served as Associate Director of Athletics at County College of Morris.

Dorber graduated from William Paterson College in Wayne, New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and is a certified teacher by the state. Before attending William Paterson College, he played wide receiver for the University of Miami freshman football team, competing in Miami’s landmark Orange Bowl.

He completed his Master’s degree in Counseling at Amber University. Dorber is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern, practicing in counseling and psychotherapy.

Dorber’s high school and college coaching experience includes football, basketball, baseball and softball. He has led five teams as the Region XIX Softball Champions and was voted Coach of the Year by the region for his efforts in 1986, 1990 and 1991. In 1986 and 1990, he was also voted Garden State Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, while in 1990 his team reached the 1990 JUCO National Tournament Final Four.
