Hollway
Head Coach, Football
Jeff Hollway began teaching at Greenhill in 2005 serving
as head boys’ lacrosse coach, assistant football coach
and physical education instructor. In 2009, he was
named the Texas High School Lacrosse League Coach of the
Year. Hollway is a 2003 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan
University where he was a four-year letter winner in
football and three-year letter winner in lacrosse.
In addition, he was named to the NCAA Division III All
American team in football for two years and earned All
North Coast Athletic Conference recognition for three
years in football and once in lacrosse. Hollway
was the captain of the Bishop’s football team in 2002.
Both programs were nationally ranked in the top 25 all
four years while Hollway was a player, winning the NCAC
championship twice in lacrosse during his career.
Hollway comes from a long line of football coaches in
his family. Hollway’s father, Mike, has been the
head football coach at Ohio Wesleyan for the past 23
years and holds the record for most wins in school
history. Hollway’s grandfather, Bob, coached at
both the collegiate and professional levels, including
serving as head coach of the National Football League’s
St. Louis Cardinals.
All of Coach Hollway’s athletic opportunities have been
headlined by significant team and individual success. In
each athletic experience, his commitment has been in
harmony with the goals of his superiors and teammates.
Coach Hollway believes his ability to demonstrate
consistent success can be attributed to vision,
stability, loyalty, interpersonal skills and creating a
competitive edge. Coach Hollway has been associated with
four highly successful programs: Olentangy High School,
Ohio Wesleyan University and as a coach at Liberty High
School in Powell, Ohio and Greenhill School. Coach
Hollway has coached many collegiate, All-State,
All-District and All Conference players both in lacrosse
and in football.
