Coaching Staff: Mike Krueger

Head Coach, Cross Country

Mike Krueger enters into his second season as the boys and girls head cross country coach, looking to improve on the Hornets 3rd and 2nd place SPC Championship finishes, respectively, in 2005.

He began is career coaching cross country and track at the Illinois Math and Science Academy, leading the Titans to their first-ever IHSA sectional meet in 1996. From 1997-2001 he guided the Sewickley Academy (Pa.) teams to new heights, qualifying six individuals to state championship meets in his five-year tenure.

After running at the collegiate level for one year at Wake Forest, he transferred to the University of Wisconsin to concentrate on his studies where he earned a BA in Zoology. Coach Krueger also owns a MS in Biological Studies from Northern Illinois University. He and his wife Maggie have two children; Luke (5) and MaryKate (3).
