Sveinsson to compete at National Championships

(12/01/08) Chelsey Sveinsson had another strong race at the Foot Locker National Championship South Qualifying Meet on Sat., Nov. 29 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Chelsey was leading at the 2-mile mark with the state champion from Virginia before putting the race on cruise control to finish third place overall, one second ahead of the 2007 national champion. As a top 10 finisher, she automatically qualifies for the National Championship in San Diego on December 13^th.

Chelsey will travel to Portland, Oregon to race in the Nike Cross Nationals meet on at 8:30 a.m. (CST) December 6 where she will be considered one of the favorites to win the individual title.
