Stull
sets school record in the pole vault at 15 feet

(04/24/09) Greenhill senior Travis Stull
beat his own personal best of 14'-7" in the pole vault
with a 15'-0" jump at a regional qualifier meet in
Frisco on Fri., April 24. In a field of nearly 30
competitors, Stull entered the meet ranked as the 10th
best pole vaulter. His school record jump of 15'-0" tied
Stull for the second best jump of the meet, earning a
4th place overall finish.
Stull first broke
the Greenhill record of 13'-6" as a junior last season,
and has since jumped 13'-7", 14'-0", 14'-3", 14'-6",
14'-7" and 15'-0". He will attempt to break the
long-standing Southwest Preparatory Conference record of
15'-2 3/4" with a 15'-3" jump at the SPC championships
at Greenhill on Thursday, April 30.
Greenhill currently
has four boys and four girls ranked in the top 10 in the
SPC. Seniors Matthew Owen (12'-6"), senior Archit Kumar
(12'-6") and sophomore Michael Chavoya (11'-6") ranked
at 3rd, 5th, and 7th, while sophomore Olivia Nicolais
(10'-0"), sophomore Alison Bulkley (9'-0), senior
Rebecca Matyas (8'-6") and senior Andrea Rahardja rank
at 2nd, 4th, and 8th respectively.
Eighth grader Ben
Taussig set the Greenhill middle school pole vault
record this season with a jump of 10'-8" at Trinity
Christian Academy on April 23. He broke the record of
10'-6" previously set by Travis Stull.
