Hornets defeat ESD for 3rd;

(09/22/08) Greenhill defeated ESD 2-0 to finish in 3rd place overall in the Canyon Creek tournament. The Hornets have continued to show steady improvement in the first half of the season by finishing 7th in the Frisco tournament, 5th in the Prestonwood tournament, and then 3rd at Canyon Creek.

Michelle Quina received all tournament honors again for the weekend with 104 assists and 16 aces and 20 digs. Senior Julianne Roberson had another great weekend with 28 kills and only 5 errors hitting .411 for the weekend!  Freshman Hannah Orth lead the team in digs with 36.

Greenhill has two SPC counter victories, including wins over All Saints and Oakridge. The team will travel to Oklahoma Oct. 3-4 to play Casady and Holland Hall in north zone competition.
