Greenhill finishes 2008-09 as top SPC coed school
May 14, 2009

Coed program ranks No. 1 overall

Girls' program ranks No. 1 overall
Boys' Program ranks No. 2 overall

The Greenhill athletics program enjoyed much success throughout the 2008-09 school year, finishing as the No. 1 ranked coed school in the Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC).

The Hornets recorded Division I conference championships in boys' volleyball, girls' soccer and girls' tennis, while finishing second in DI in girls' and boys' cross country, girls' volleyball, girls' and boys' swimming, and girl's track and field.

The Greenhill girls' athletic program finished the year as the No. 1 school in the conference, and the boys' program finished in second behind St. Mark's. Greenhill finished second in each of the first three years of the SPC Athletic Director's Cup competition.

The Athletic Director's Cup recognizes outstanding achievement in the overall athletics programs at each of the 18 SPC member schools. There is an award for top overall boys' program, girls' program, and coed program. The ranked order of each sport’s finish at SPC would be calculated with one point awarded for first place, two points for second place, etc.  The school with the lowest point total at the end of the school year is presented the Cup to display at that school’s campus for the following school year.
