COMMUNITY GARDEN

The community garden is down by the Lower School between the basketball court and the creek.  All produce harvested from this garden is donated to a local food pantry.  The garden also includes lab space for lower, upper, and middle school, space for an herb garden, and an open gathering space.

A team assembled in the fall of 2006 to design and plan the Greenhill Community garden. After careful consideration a site just west of the lower school basketball court was selected. Tricia Quaid volunteered her landscape design services and developed the plans for the garden.  After several revisions, the plans were finalized and the garden installed.

In 2007 volunteers created a food pantry section, harvested a bumper crop of basil and built beds for spring crops.
