Author, illustrator visits the ‘Hill, speaks to students

By Archit Kumar, Managing Editor

William Joyce, book author, production designer, and movie producer, came into movies by chance after receiving a cold call from John Lasseter, the founder of Pixar, about the prospect of doing a movie on Mr. Joyce’s book Dinosaur Bob and his Adventures with the Family Lazardo. Along with his creation of Disney channel’s Rolie Polie Olie and Toy Story, he has worked on movies such as Ice Age, A Bug’s Life, and Robots. Several of his books have been adapted into movies and television shows, including Disney/Pixar’s Meet the Robinsons, based on Mr. Joyce’s book A Day with Wilbur Robinson.

Mr. Joyce visited Greenhill and gave several presentations on Feb. 19. I got a chance to sit down with him and ask him a few questions.Read more
