Get organized, starting with storage

By Roxane Modares, Asst. Special Sections Editor

Maintaining a clean locker can be a difficult task for students, but by keeping organized, students can run to their lockers and quickly retrieve something without rummaging through piles of textbooks and two week old lunches.

There are two categories that students tend to fall into: organized and messy. Messy people throw books into lockers with no distinguished style or location, which makes finding a book for the next class very hard. Organized students, on the other hand, may have shelf dividers or crates.

Sophomore Johanna Lambert’s locker is pictured to the left. “I put two expandable shelves into my locker, so I can use all the space. I keep all my books for one class next to each other, and I also keep my books in the order of my classes such as first period books on the far left and last period books on the far right,” she said.

Before leaving school: Take a brief look at your locker before going home on the weekends. Check for trash and food to throw out and any necessary items to study. Sticking with a routine creates a more relaxing lifestyle.
