Within the past year, state legislatures
have been busy passing regulations
dealing with public health and safety
issues such as trans-fat, smoking, and
cell phone bans and Human Papillomavirus
(HPV) mandates. These regulations have
caused controversy among the citizenry
and have led many to question the role
of the government in their personal
